Here's Your Chance to Win Yo Gabba Gabba Live! Tickets

Ok, listen up everyone! If you are a Yo Gabba Gabba fan or one of my readers, you should now know that they are running a Cool Tricks Contest. Of course I immediately entered Lyla doing her Spoon Trick! She was actually in 1st place for a while. Now she's in 4th!!! WTF!

ANYWAY, I want to give you guys a chance to win tickets to the Gabba concert here in Philly on August 29th. How you ask? Ok, I'll tell you...

We already have tickets, I've only been bragging about it for months now. As I said before we got her the VIP package for her birthday, which is TODAY!! Woo-Hoo!! Ok, back to the point, so the contest winner will receive 4 tickets vip style to the show plus other goodies. One of them that interests me the most is the winner's video will be played at the show for all to see! Winning the tickets won't make difference to me because I already bought them. But I would love to see her face watching her video on the big screen. It would be PRICELESS!

SOOO if Lyla's video wins the contest I will have the tickets to give away to someone who really wants/needs them!

Here's what you can do: VOTE FOR LYLA!! Get on the Team Lyla bandwagon! You can vote every 24 hours! Every time you vote, leave me a comment below telling me you voted. Please include your Name & Email Address. You can increase your chance to win by telling ALL of your friends & family to vote as well. If they're not interested in the tickets themselves, they can still vote for Lyla and nominate YOU as the winner.

EXAMPLE: If "PERSON A" have kids and want to win the tickets and have voted already, any of their peoples can vote and leave a comment below telling me they voted for Lyla and are nominating "PERSON A" to win the tickets!

I will randomly select a winner! So the more times you vote and the more people you get to vote too and nominate you, the more chances you have of winning.

By Lyla winning you are too! So remember, Lyla MUST win for the Philly area! They are having many winners, one for each city they are touring in. So let's represent Philly! The concert is this Sunday, and I believe the contest for (Philly) will end on Friday. IF Lyla's video win, we will give out the tickets to one lucky Lyla's voter!

It's so quick and easy. All you have to do is click HERE to vote!

So spread the word.

Also, there is another video on there of a little boy, Alex, doing the belly roll. He is so adorable and it's his 3rd birthday tomorrow. They are trying to win for the California show! Please show him some love and vote for him too HERE!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS VOTED SO FAR AND ARE REPOSTING ON FACEBOOK AND TWITTER. LYLA IS ALMOST AT 600 VIEWS ON YOUTUBE IN A MATTER OF DAYS!!

Love,
Natalie

Annoying People

This was me last night!

I just wanted to give a shout out to 2 people who annoyed me last night. After a long night the night before and a long day to follow I still had to go out and run some errands. Let's just say I only attacked 1 of the 3 stores I had to go to.

My first shout out goes to the very anti-social Staples employee! We didn't get to the store until 8pm. I needed a few things for me to get started on Kalina's 1st birthday invitations. I knew exactly what I wanted. The hubby was hanging out with the girls so I can pace through the store quickly. I got stuck on 2 items. First, I had a paper question. This employee was so monotone to answer me that I felt like I was prying information out of him. I had to almost drag him to the paper isle to show him what I was talking about. By now, it's almost closing time and all I needed was some damn adhesive magnets! I know they had it because I was smart enough to check the website before going there. I'm searching the entire store for ANYONE who works there. Anyone? Anyyyyyone? (echoooo) Nothing! I finally found someone wearing a Staples shirt and who is it?? Mr. Personality himself once again. He looked at me like I just spoke in another language. He finally told me to go to isle 5, which by the by I had just came from. As I'm making my way there his personality decides to come out and tell my daughter to put whatever she takes off the shelves to put back because he had just organized that isle. UMMM...OK! Dude, she's like 2! And long and behold, I found my adhesive magnets on isle 6 ALL BY MYSELF! Thank you very much! I made a point to go back to Mr. Personality and tell him that. Good night!

My second shout out goes to the lady at Wendy's! I wanted to get the girls something to eat since they had an early dinner so Lyla requested nuggets. Kalina was already freaking out in her car seat just because that's what she likes to do now... There was ONE car in front of us who were already getting their food. The lady at the drive thru window just decided to take her good old time and talk to her fellow co-workers and not make an attempt to take our order. We actually had to beep the horn to get her attention. After all of that with kids waiting very impatiently for their late snack, she proceeds to tell us they ran of nuggets for the night. (Insert car tire screeching here)

So I just wanted to give those 2 a wonderful shout out and thank them for their wonderful customer service. I think you picked the right career for you! Keep up the good work!

Sleep? What's that?

Two items that are getting me through the day!

Last night the hubs and I had the worst night since we had kids. It was a toughie. If we got 1 hour of sleep between the both of us, it was too much. Kalina was not one happy camper in the Dempster Camp last night. I think she had a case of the "teething" really bad. She had such a good day yesterday, just like any other day. She is so pleasant. Nothing bothers this kid. Not even the many hair pulls and toy stealing she endures from her bully aka. big sis. (I'll get to that on another post) She was having so much fun, she even skipped a nap! So for sure I thought she was going to sleep all night since she wore herself off all day. I even said to John before I took her up, "She's going to have a great night cause she's so tired." Boy, was I wrong. I totally jinxed us!

She had her last bottle and before it was over she was asleep in my arms. I was out of her room in no time! I even got slapped high five from the hubby! And as always, as soon as we lay down in bed and get all comfy we hear her through the monitor. John had no luck putting her back so I thought I'd give it a go since sometimes she's a mommy's girl. Every time she fell asleep as soon as I laid her down she would wake up freaking out! She was getting so frustrated with her binky because she wanted it but I guess it hurt her gums that she would just rip it out of her mouth and throw it! Then she wanted nothing to do with a bottle. After 2 HOURS of trying to put her back to sleep, I did something I said I would NEVER do even though her doctor recommended me to. I kissed her goodnight and laid her down and walked away. I let her cry. It broke my heart and made me cry with her but after trying to put her to sleep 5 times and already being almost 3 AM, I gave up...

She cried such a heartfelt cry. She even woke Lyla up! Now we were dealing with 2 kids up in the middle of the night! I went back into the room to try the bottle one more time and to give her some Tylenol. Another HOUR goes by and still no luck. Now I really HAD to just let her go to sleep on her own. Her pediatrician even told me to stop rocking her to sleep and just let her cry. It wouldn't kill her. But as a mom, I would never want my kids to fall asleep crying. That's just not right to me. But last night, I had to, for her own good. Because I felt like if I kept trying to put her to sleep, she would fall asleep on me and just keep waking up every time I put her down. I do not let my kids sleep in our bed. We don't want to start that at all! So once again I walked away and this time I did not go back. She cried...A LOT, but eventually she gave in and fell asleep. All I wanted to do was to go in there and hold her one more time but I knew she needed to get some rest.

Just when I thought I was going to shut my eyes, she woke up about an hour later. This time the hubby went to get her while Lyla was falling asleep on the couch. Now he had 2 kids to put to sleep because I was in no condition to even function. He did it though folks! He got them both to sleep! As soon as he got up to go upstairs to put Kalina back in her crib, Lyla realized Daddy was gone and freaked out! She screamed so loud that YUP it woke Kalina back up! I threw myself out of bed and went to lay with Lyla on the couch while John attempted ONCE AGAIN to put Kalina to sleep. By now it's almost 5 AM. He told me Kalina finally went to sleep on him around 6 AM!!

I woke up at 7:30am because he was getting ready for work and went to sleep in my bed. An hour later, the girls were up and ready for their days to start!

So as you can see from my pics those are the items that are keeping me awake today! Both girls went down for a nap at the same time. It's been 3 HOURS!!! I hear Kalina on the monitor and Lyla is still sleeping. I guess I missed my window to take a nap too?? Darn, if I only knew they would sleep for this long....

Oh well, back to mom duty!

What are your experience(s) with a teething or over-stimulated baby?? What did you do??

(Yawn)

Best.Cookie.Ever!

Here it is! I found it! This is by far the best cookie snack ever to be made!
I love it so much that one box is definitely not enough, especially how I "have" to share...

It is bite size which you think at first is good, but then you can't stop shoving them in your mouth! And if you're wondering, YES it does taste exactly like a s'more!

Me and the girls are snacking on it as I type and it's D-LISH! Go out and try it, you'll thank me later. Or not because you won't put the box down!

Ok, gotta go cause the girls are hoggin' the box!

Where-O-Where?

SO it seems like there is a mystery person in my house that likes to mysteriously hide, steal, get rid of certain items here. No matter how organized we get, these items always end up gone!

Here's a list of some of them:

  1. Binkies- no matter how many we buy and store, for some reason we can never find any of the girls' binkies!
  2. Hair Brushes- this mystery person must have a lot of hair to brush...
  3. Tupperware Lids- seriously? where are they??
  4. Nail Clipper- it's a very high maintenance mystery person...
  5. Socks- now I know I put BOTH pairs in there but only one comes out...
  6. Receipts & Coupons- mystery person likes to be thrifty too!
  7. Bottle Lids- ok, this just really gets to me. I would love to know where all the lids to the girls' bottles are, aside from the one the hubby left at Target...
  8. My Phone- good thing I have unlimited...
  9. My Glasses- I think I have gone at least a month not knowing where it is!
  10. My Sanity, Patience, Energy- still looking for these, if you find them, let me know!
Ever lose something that you even forgot you lost it and don't remember until you find it and have one of those "Oh there it is" moment?

Tell me about it...

Truckin' Around

Ok, so it's been forever since I've posted anything on here about myself. I've just been super busy! But things are finally easing down so I will be posting a lot more!

In the meantime, I thought it would be funny to post a short vlog on me driving a tow truck! An 11 ton flat bed to be exact! Yup, little me driving a huge truck! Very funny!

I actually had a lot of fun and I'm thinking about doing a lot more of these vlog things...

What should my next one be on?? Any suggestions? What would you like to see me do? ;o)

Teething Bling: Review

Teething Bling - brought to you by Smart Mom Jewelry

Any of you who have children and went through the "teething" phase know how much our little ones love to grab and chew on whatever we have around our necks! And for those of you who have not entered that phase yet...brace yourself.

Right now Kalina is in that phase, which oh so fun! I love wearing jewelry, but since she started teething I haven't been able to because she immediately grabs on to my necklace and puts it in her mouth. So I just stopped wearing them. Insert sad face here.

I came across this great company called Smart Mom Jewelry that was launched in 2002 by 2 stay-at-home moms. I checked out their Teething Bling products and fell in love. Not only was this a solution for Kalina's teething habits but a solution for me to still be fashionable and wear jewelry.

Their products are made by the same material that most teething toys are made from. They are also non-toxic, phthalate, BPA, PVC and lead free! Totally safe for your precious one.

There is a variety of different products, colors and styles. I, of course, got the turquoise pendant. I have said in a previous post that is my color for the summer!

I love it! Kalina immediately was drawn to it! This is a great idea, totally hip as you can see all the celebrity mamas are wearing them and they make for a great gift!!

Teething Bling is a must have! Don't think just because it's a new thing and celebrities are wearing it that it's so expensive! They are totally affordable!!

And to top it off, Smart Mom Jewelry is granting all my *MOM*ents readers an additional 20% off!!

Use the code: S-SMJ at checkout!

Don't forget to check them out on Facebook & Twitter!

Get your teething bling on today!!

Price Products: Review

Price Products was kind enough to send me these two products to review. Ever since I've tried the Dwink Box and the Dripstik, they have not left the diaper bag! I take it with me every time I go out.

Dwink Box- Every parent out there can agree the anxiety we get when we hand our small children a juice box or pouch, especially when we are out in public and they are in a nice outfit. We all know what's going to happen as soon as we hand them that juice....
Well, with the Dwink Box worry no more! You can fit the juice box (even the small ones) or juice pouches right in there. It has comfortable grip handles, non skid bottoms and it's dishwasher safe. It's also available in 4 different colors!

Dripstik- This product just has been the best! You're actually getting two products into one! On one side, it holds frozen treats such as popsicles and the other holds the ice cream cone. Now here in Philadelphia, it has been SOOO hot and humid outside that anything frozen doesn't stand a chance. The melting process starts almost immediately. Again, the anxiety feeling of knowing what's soon to become of this frozen treat just takes over. With the Dripstik, I don't need to worry about the mess because it catches all the mess for me! No more chasing around with numerous amounts of sticky napkins and wipeys to catch every drip! This product is also dishwasher safe and is available in 6 different colors!

Check out Price Products to see all of their products that are made by parents, for parents. They have unique products that are so useful for us parents. It would also make for great gifts!

Also don't forget to follow them on Twitter and Facebook for awesome discounts!

Thanks to Price Products for providing me with these great products to review!
